A true fairy-tale opera, The Magic Flute plays constantly on the alternation between two worlds: the real and the unreal, the spoken and the sung, shadow and light, man and divinity, good and evil… Faced with the three ages of existence, the hero Tamino is initiated into life's trials and wins Pamina's love, thwarting the grip of the famous Queen of the Night with her dizzying high notes. Julien Duval's new production immerses us in a magical universe where nature reclaims its rightful place, recapturing the lightness of the fable while guiding us toward harmony between man and the elements.
